The Adopted Son is not a devotional series for the surface level. These are not quick reads designed to make you feel better before breakfast. They are written for the person who is ready to go somewhere with God β into the rooms they have kept locked, into the wounds they have never fully named, into the deep and sometimes uncomfortable places where real transformation actually happens. Every word is written with the conviction that God is not afraid of your history, your doubt, your shame, or your most honest questions. He has been waiting in those places longer than you know.
The depth is intentional β because the healing you are after is not shallow. The orphan spirit does not yield to a three-minute devotional. Decades of survival patterns, attachment wounds, and identity lies require something more than inspiration. They require encounter. These devotionals are designed to create the conditions for that encounter β through honest theology, through the stories of Scripture brought to life, and through the kind of personal transparency that reminds you that you are not alone in what you carry. Every piece is written from the inside of the journey, not from a place of arrival.
But here is what we want you to know before you begin: this is not about how much you can read or how fast you can grow. It is about staying close to the Father long enough to let Him do what only He can do. Read slowly. Sit with what lands. Let the questions surface. The goal was never information β it was always transformation. And the God who began this work in you is faithful, patient, and absolutely committed to finishing it. You were made for sonship. These pages exist to help you live like it.

To understand what Jesus was saying when He broke the bread, you have to understand what bread already meant.
